While it is true that the strip test handler is capable of volumes as large
as 20M/week (based on the customer’s lead frame design and test times),
this study showed that the strip handler, running at a utilization rate
of only 2.2% is still capable of producing the lowest test cost per unit
once the volume exceeded 440K/week. It should also be noted that the
volume crossover point will change depending upon the specific requirements
